WEST GRIFFIN SCHOOL
We have sold our box of candy
and have bought see-saws and act
ing poles with the money. These
have added greatly to the pleasure
of the children.
Mr. Jones was a welcome visi
tor to our school last week and
some of the grades enjoyed hear
ing him tell interesting stories.
Fourth Grade.
We dramatized two stories last
week and enjoyed them very much.
Three girls have not missed any
[ words in spelling since school
j opened. Jones, Lois Their Cornwell names are and Lorine Mar
garet Skipper.
Only four words have been miss
ed in our spelling. We are trying
to bring up a perfect record.
Third Grade.
The Third grade children are en
joying studying about the Pil
grims. They are making clothes
pin dolls dressed as Indians and
Pilgrims and are busy planning a
Pilgrims’ party for the last of the
month.
Second Grade.
The Third grade entertained us
last Friday at a Hallowe’en party
and we had a good time. When
we walked in the room we had no
place to fit but with a ghost or
witch, and such a scramble when
the children unmasked and found
the girls sitting with boys and
boys sitting with girls. We play
ed all sorts of games, such as
chewing the strings for candy,
bobbing for apples, pinning the
tail on the black cat and having
oar fortunes told in peanuts. Then
we had refreshments and everyone
decided that we had more fun
ti .ai^any other party we ever went
