CHARLIE CHAPLIN TO
WED LEADING LADY
IN MEXICAN TOWN
, Mexico City, Nov. 24.—Char
lie Chaplin was expected to arrive
in Guayamas today and marry
his leading woman, Lita Grey, in
the rtearby town of Empaime, ac
cording to dispatches received
from Guayamas early today.
The’ dispatches assert that
Chaplin obtained the license Oc
tober 14. They add that the
bride-to-be and her mother ar
rived in Guayamas last Friday.
Guayamas is a seaport of Mex
ico- on the Gulf of California. It
lies, abont 220 miles across the
American border south of Nog
ales, Ariz.
