Fincher, who was kicked by a muJe last week and is still in a critical condition. Fleming Touchstone, who is at tending the University of Geor gia in Athens, will arrive in Grif fin December 20 to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mra. John Shell at 614 West Sol omon street. Auvergne d’Antignac, w ho is with the Atnericus division of the state highway department, will spend Christmas in Griffin with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack D’Antignac, on West Taylor street. Mrs. H. H. Holmes, of Barnes ville, was shopping in Griffin Thursday afternoon. Roy Crouch, of Gay, made a business trip to Griffin Friday. Mrs. William H. Beck, Jr., has retunrned home after a visit to her mother, Mrs. Kate Carmichael Lester, in Jackson, and Miss Bet ty Chichester in Macon. Mrs. Barnett, of Hampton, was among the shopper in Griffin Fri day. Leroy Whidby, of Barnesville, will spend this evening in Griffin with friends. Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Crouch motored to Atlanta Fri day. Dr. H. J. Garland has returned from Atlanta, where he has been with his son, Halsey Garland, who is ill at the Piedmont Sani tarium. Mrs. Garland remained with her son, whose condition is im proved. He expe cts to return to Griffith in about ten days. William H. Beck, Jr. spent Thursday in Atlanta on legal bus iness. Miss Lillie Milner, of Concord, was shopping in Griffin Friday.
