On last Thursday evening the McDonough Men’s Evangelistic Club gave a banquet at the Brown House. The Methodist Woman’s Missionary Soeety served. H. B. Neal, president of the club, was toastmaster. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tarpley, of Hampton, announce the engage ment of their daughter, Helen, to Mr. Llewellyn Heard, of Macon, the marriage to be solemnized at an early date. Murray Copeland arrived home from Johns Hopkins at Baltimore Tuesday to spend the holidays. Dr. and Mrs. George H. Boyd, of Emory, are spending several days at Fairburn with relatives before visiting Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Brown during the holidays. Dr. H. J.
