The Christmas tree at the Meth
odist church was greatly enjoyed
by all in spite of the inclement
weather. The lights of the candles
and the good will beaming from 1

Mrs. Blanche Womack spent
Xmas day with her parents, Mr.

Mrs: W. G. Taylor, who has
been very ill, is convalescing, to
the delight of her many friends.
Miss Lucille Ruff, of Atlanta,
is spending Christmas week with

Miss Grace Anderson, of Zetel

The Rev. Whittaker, of Brooks
circuit, filled the pulpit at the
Methodist church Sunday, He
preached an able sermon which
was enjoyed by all present. We
welcome Brother Whittaker and
family in our midst.
Cicero Paton, of Decatur, visited
friends here this week.
Mrs. J. D. Williams and son,
Bill, Jr.,......are -visiting her parents,
a clear-cut recognition of the war
debt obligation.

Well, after one of the quietest
Christmases we have had in some
time, there are no serious acci
dents to mention.
Most everybody has settled
down to their regular jobs once
more.
How about that new year reso

The plant here started up on
full time Monday morning, with
all the generators being loaded
to full capacity.

daughter of Bud Sheppard, is
graitly improved, after being se
riously ill with pneumonia.

His funeral was held at
Haralson Baptist church on
afternoon. On Saturday
