Miss Martha Green Becomes The Bride
Of Elva W. Sapp, of Detroit, Michigan,
At Quiet Ceremony Recently Solemnized
7 Of cordial interest to a host of
friends in Georgia and Florida is
the announcement made by Mr, and
Mrs. J, A. Green, of Griffin, of' the
marriage of their daughter, Martha,
to Elva W. Sapp, of Detroit, Mich.,
formerly of Tampa, Florida.
The marriage was solemnized
Thursday. July 7, at high noon at
the Church of Christ with the Rev.
J. T. Taylor officiating A few |
close friends. Including. Miss Lois,
Sapp, sister of the bridegroom, and
Purdue Martin, both of Tampa, wit
nessed the ceremony.
The lovely bride was becomingly
gowned In white crepe with ac
cessories to match Her corsacre
was of sweet heart roses and lilies
of the valley.
Immediately after the ceremony
the young couple left for Niagara
Falls and other points in Canada,

day and anniversary.

the summer's colorful blossoms. The
central decoration for the table In
the dining-room was a lovely piv.k
and white cake harmonizing
the surrounding blossoms.
A feature df the day was the fact
that Master Wyman Andrews also
celebrated his birthday, being pine

An orchestra played beautiful
music during the luncheon.

Mr. Sapp Is the son of Mr. and

he holds a splendid position In De

consist of a delicious cold suppt t
with iced tea and devil's food cake
and the air was gray and murky,
outside the window's, when she wak
ened. 8hc dressed quickly, hur
ried downstairs, and put the tea
kettle on. Then she squeezed the
juice from the oranges, heated the
toaster, found the breakfast baccn.
Her father came in, a little lest
because his day wo^d not begin as
usual. Sue suddenly, realized how
dependent he wa s on her mother
for all his happiness. \Love like
that, she thought, could make a
woman happy, if she loved the man
who gave it.
Sue was very kind to her father
