the score. The try for extra
point failed.
As the fourth and llnal quarter
opened it was evident that the
smaller Gold Wave team was tiring
under incessant pounding by De

converted bath times. The first
was set up with a long pass taken by
Tiller. Then Miller plunged over >
The final score was the result of a
45 yard pass to Tiller and again
the point was good.
Griffin Leads
Though Griffin lost the game by
a two-touchdown margin the Gold
Wave led Decatur in first downs
with 11 to 10. Griffin also leu in
vards gained from rushing with 185
to 123. Most of Decatur's yard
age was picked up with
passes. Decatur drew 35 yards
penalties and Griffin 15.
Griffin’s forward wall last night
displayed a dash and drive that
has not been equalled this season.
The boys who made it possible for
the backs to get started were open

enough to drive a truck through
and on defeme they were smashing
through up until that last quarter
when they were completely fagged
out.
And in the backfield Joe Deraney
and Deedee Lyle staged a mighty
