This is National Book Week,
ana the Hawkes Free Child
rens Library here is observing
the occasion, A special display
of children's books has been
prepared m the Children's
room at the Library.
There is no finer library in
tlw South than tne Hawkes.
If would do credit .to a much
larger city than Griffin. The
fact that thousands of persons,
adults as well as children, use
the library every vear stands
•Sensor for the fact that it is
a real asset to the community.
Much of iht* popularity of
the Hawkes Library is due to
the fine management of Mrs.
L kaii Wallace, flue librarian. j
