an Easter egg hunt Thursday after
noon at the regular weekly meeting. |
During the meeting which preceded |
the hunt Carol Ann Slade sang an
Easter song as a solo, and the leader;
conducted the devotional, taking j
the scripture from the 28th chapter
of Matthew. Mrs. Pitts also told
an Easter story and led a Bible
quiz on Easter. Another storfc,
‘‘Traveling Shoes,’ was also pre
sented.
Following the meeting the hunt
was held on the lawn of Mrs. Ralph
Poe's home. Tommie James re
ceived the award for finding the
prize egg, and Glenda Nichols won
the girls’ prize for finding the
most eggs. Reginald Roberson and
Jerry Church were winners for the
boys in finding the largest number
of eggs.
Barbara Poe, member of the
Young Women’s , Auxiliary, and
Jeanette Adams ana Loretta Nichols,
of the Girls’ Auxiliary, assisted in
entertaining.
