The Griffin Pimientos had a 5

Thursday night, but the Valley Re
n ls came from behind to score four
runs in the ninth inning to take a
/ 6 to 5 win from Griffin.
A combination of heads-up base
ball by the Rebels combined with
some tough luck by the Pimientos
cost Griffin the game. Griffin out
hit the Rebels 13 to 15. however, the
Plmienttos made two errors against
,■ none for the Rebels.
L*roy Figgins pitched o
game until the ninth inning when
he was relieved by A'ear’der with
the bases loeded. Aleander pitched
to two men and was relieved by
Ayprs, who retired the side.
Forrester and Blackwell led the
Griffin attack with four hits for
five times at the plate. Murphy had
two for four - Guettler and Brooks,
