Miss Annelle Rogers Becomes Bride

Miss Annelle Lucinda Rogers,
daughter of Mr*. LeWltt Morgan
Rogers, and the late Mr. Rogers,
became the bride of MUton
Kincaid McLaurin, son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. H. McLaurin, at a beautiful
-afternoon ceremony Sunday, July
27, at 3 o’clock at Sacred Heart
Church. The Rev. John J. Walsh
officiated in the presence of rela
tfves and close friends of the couple.
On the main altar two brass can

Mrs. Ernest L. Wingard of Atlan
ia was the bride’s matron of honor
and only attendant. Mrs. Wingard
wore a gown of blue dotted Swiss
fashioned with a ruffle-bordered
neckline in off-shoulder effect. The
ruffle trim was repeated on the full
skirt, beginning at the waist line
and flaring down to the ruffled
hemline. She wore a coronet of
light blue net caught at the sides
with sweetheart roses and carried
an old-fashioned nosegay of sweet
heart roses and other pastel flowers

Si Morrison of Seattle, Wash., the
former Miss Martha Wright; and

and tiny puffed sleeves of the net
and a fitted satin bodice joining a
bouffant net skirt. Her finger-tip
veil of illusion tulle was caught to

ley and showered with ribbon

Mrs. Rogers, the bride’s mother,
was attired in a black sheer dress
worn witlf a black and white hat,!
black accessories and a corsage of
v/nite carnations. Mrs. McLaurin,
mother of the groom, chose a black
and white printed sheer, black ac
cessories, and a corsage of white ;
carnations.
Following the ceremony the cou- j
ple left for a wedding trip to Flo- I
■ida. Upon their return Mr. and
Mrs. McLaurin will be at home at
30 West Poplar street.
The bride traveled in a light blue

Rogers-McLaurin Wedding Party Honored
At Rehearsal Dinner Saturday Night
Miss Virginia McLaurin and Gus
McLaurin entertained the wedding
party of Miss Annelle Rogers and
Kincaid McLaurin at a rehearsal
dinner Saturday night at the Elks
Club.
Bud vases of sweetheart rose*
were used on the tables and green
ery banked the mantels. The bride's
table was centered with an arrange
ment of tube roses and ferns, the
beautiful container which held the
flowers being presented to the cou
pie as a gift from the hosts.
Miss Rogers was attired in a gray
crepe frock with printed chiffon bo
dice and bolero, and she used gray
reptile accessories. Miss McLaurin’s
