Mrs. Mary Mobley Is Guest Speaker
^ Meeting Of Garden Club Of Griffin
Mrs. Mary Mobley of Atlanta was
guest speaker at the meeting of the
Garden Club on Griffin Tuesday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. a P.
Shapard. Jt„ on East College street.
Mrs. Mobley discussed Christmas
decorations tnd suggested arrange
! merits suitable for dining tables,
j I mantels and entrance ways.
In keeping with Mrs. Mobley's
1 ■ talk, arrangements throughout the
i Shapard home were suggestive of
! the Christmas season. The dining
table was overlaid with a lace cloth
i and centered with a small lighted
: Christmas tree. In the entrance
j j hall was a lighted miniature church
which chimes a Christmas carol.

ing room where they were served

the business session in the absence
of the president, Msr. A. C. Girffin.

Bailey Infant
Christened Tuesday

Jackson Bailey, four-month-old son
of Mr. and Mrs. Seaton G. Bailey,
was christened Tuesday morning at
11 o'clock at the First Methodist
Church by his grandfather, the
Her. E. P. Eubanks of Boynton.
Mr. Bailey's brother, N. H. Bailey,
stood with the parents and repre
sented the sponsors, Caleb luring,
Jr.. of Belmont, Mass., and Bobby
Gumming, student at Princeton,
who are Mr. Bailey’s nephews, and
Mrs. Fred L. Carlsen of Vero Beach.
Fla.. Mrs. Bailey’s sister.
The baby, who is named for his
paternal grandfather, the late Mr.
David Jackson Bailey, wore a hand
made christening dress of
