Akihito, Japan’s heir to the throne,
thinks highly of her oupil . She
considers him a "very promising
boy, intelligent, responsible, lriend
ly and honest.”
Mrs. Vinlng says she icils the
prince will acquire a closer sym
pathy for western democracy as he
learns English. She adds that al
though she teaches him only the
language, there are other ways of
getting the point across.

its barbecue sauce and served
along with parsleyed sweet pota
toes, creamed onions, and a
tossed green salad — with Quick
.Fruit Duff or Ice cream for dessert
—it makes a meal that is brimful
of good eating, too.
SLICED TONGUE WITH
BARBECUE SAUCE
Wssh a 4 to S-pound smoked tongue
well, and arrange In deep waier, kettle; cover
completely with cold cover, and
bring'to a boll. Remove any and scum simmer from
surface, then reduce heat
about 314-4 hours (about 50 minutes per
pound), qr until a fork pierces It easily.
Then remove, pull off skin carefully,
and trim off thick end where small
