Miss Lois Tyus, who will become
the bride of Jim Williams, was
honored Thursday night by Mrs. E.
b. Westmoreland at a bridge shower
at Mrs Westmoreland’s home on
•Vest Poplar street.
Pink spirea, day lilies and radi
ance roses were charmingly arrang
ed throughout the rooms. Miss Tyus
was attired in pastel blue crepe,
and Mrs. Westmoreland wore a
black flower-figured print.
Prize winners in the bridge games
were Mrs. Weyman Hutson, higii
snore,and Mrs. Harry Raines, low.

consolation prize. Following the
games the shower gifts were pre
sented to Miss Tyus.

Meets Wednesday
The Orchard Hill Garden Club
met Wednesday at the Orchard Hill
Clubhouse with Mrs. R. E. Tyus and
Mrs. N. V. Davis as hostesses.
Mrs. James Swint, president,
presided, and Mrs. Jack Blackman
gave the devotional. During a rout
ine business session the club plan
ned, as a financial project, to spon
sor a square dance.
As a program highlight Miss Eli
zabeth Hood, REA home economist,
gave a demonstration on lighting
the home.
During the social hour the host
esses served a dessert course.

Hollis Frank Hope, Jr., Of Atlanta;
Wedding To Be An Event Of June 25
is the former Miss Marv Elizabeth
Gray of Atlanta, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Gray of thar
city. His paternal grandparents are
the late Dr. and Mrs. r. l. Hope,
also of Atlanta. Mrs Roy F. White
is the groom-elect's only sister.
Mr. Hope served in the Pacific
as a pilot In the U. S. Marine Air
Corps, and prior to that time at
tended Emory University. He is now
continuing his stutiles ,v,at Emory
where he is a member of Alpha Tau
Omega Fraternity.
