Griffin High School grossed $5,-
578.60 from home games played by
the Gold Wave for the 1948 foot
ball season. v. fv - i
From this amount one-slxtb
went for taxes and $500 went to pay
officials.
The gross amounts for each
game are L&Fayette $1,701 , Carters
v ^* e $1,585.00, Cedartown $1,180.25,
Winder *319.25 and College Park
$589.50. The officials and tax have

There also was some money made
from the Bee game tilts but the lar
gest amount came from the game
played for the Aidmore Children’s
benefit. After all the taxes and of
ficials had been paid Griffin’s share
was $304. The Other home Bee

for the Bees.

Here Wednesday
The LaGrange Bee team made it
two victories in as many stalls
against Spalding’s Bee team at

tune of 13 to 6.
This was the second contest,
Spalding having lest to them in La
grange 19 to o. Thsre was a six
point gain for Spalding in this
game.

come to Griffin and will parade
downtown at 4:30 and be on hand
for the halftime performance. A
