★ WE, THE
WOMEN i
.
BY
■UTH
M1LLETT
MA Staff Writer
A woman observes:
No man is a hero to his wife’s
bridge' foursome.
No man would be as completely
lost without his wife as she keeps
telling herself he would be
It’s as hard for a man to recon
clle himself to the fact that he •
has married a poor housekeeper
as It is for a woman to admit to
herself that her husband will never
earn a good living ton her.
No woman ever bored a man
with silence.
It’s after marriage that a woman
starts telling herself that looks
aren’t everything.
Many a man has become an
ardent hunter or fisherman be
cause his wife always has some
thing for him to do if he tries to
loaf around home.
The husband who picks on his
wife in public is the husband who
i* afriad to tell her off wheii
they're alone at home.
When a man asks his wife what
she has been doing ail day. an
honest, detailed answer would
sound like a complaint.
A wife is supposed to tell her
husband “he did exactly right” in
any crisis—but a wife expects to
have her loving spouse tell her
how she should have handled the
matter.
Chivalry isn't dead so long as
middle-aged husbands continue to
tell their middle-aged wives they
are as pretty as the day they were
married.
