TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN
GRIFFIN AND SPALDING
COUNTY
For four years I have labored
among you. and have tried hard to
be a blessing to all that I could
reach. I deeply appreciate all the
good-will and co-operation you
have shown me. I have made some
blunders and mistakes which no
doubt offended many of my friends.
in the church and out of the church
I have not in nly heart really wan
ted to do wrong, and I certainly
have not done as bad as ugly ru
mors and hes would have you be
iieve. I hope that I have not lost
the place in the hearts of my friends
and I humbly ask for complete for
giveness of any I may have offen
ded Any of my blunders or mis
takes that I have made do not re
flect on the Gospel that I tried so
faithfully to preach. I have at all
times upheld the Bible standard of
righteousness even though I may
h ave f a ii e n short of it. Many th
ings known only to God and to me,
drove me to the point that little
mattered r gincere iy repent of this
attitude, regardless of causes, and
ask that the public fully forgive me
for any wrong that I may have
done.
I love God and intend to keep on
serving him. I cherish the confi
dence of the people, and ask for the
prayers of ail Christians to hip
port me ia my work If ever I oan
be of service to you, pleaee call on
