Plumber Hits Back
At Forgetful Gag
CLEVELAND OP)—William E.
Zerneohel, secretary of the Na
tional Association of Master
Plumbers, said at the plumbers’
convention here that the gen
eral public shouldn't be so
hard on the plumbers and crit
icize them for being forgetful.
Zernechel pointed out the im
possibility of remembering to
bring the right tool to every
job. He said plumbers have over
3.000 gadgets and wrenches to
lug around and people with bad
pipes rarely tell the workmen
exactly what or where ' their
trouble is. In his plea for toler
ance for the oft-berated plum
ber, Zernechel suggested that
home owners learn more about
their own plumbing.
* INTELLIGENCE HELPS
CHICAGO — !(fi— A company's
more intelligent employes may shy
away from dangerous work and
hence have fewer accidents. Prof.
Willard A. Kerr of the I.lionois
nstitute of Technology says. Kerr
bases the opinion on figures which
show accident rates to be higher
in departments where employes
respond poorly to suggestion boxes,
which, he said, may indicate a
lower level of intelligence.

when she arrived at Grand Park Zoo in Atlanta, Ga. But Um
