Peggy Cleghom had the high est single game, a 197. Annette Pitts bowled a 180 game and a 491 series. Cecile Sealy bowled a 178 game, Martha Goodrum had a 174 and Faye Crane rolled a 162. Touchdown Club Honors The Griffin Touchdown Club honored the Griffin Eagles and coaches Monday night at a ban quet. Winners of several special tro phies were announced. Ronnie Pitts was chosen the Most Valuable Player by his teammates. Bill Perkins was selected the Best Lineman, Donnie Cobb was chosen the Best Back, Junior Taylor was named the Most Im proved Player, and Johnny Crawford was selected the Best Blocker. In addition to the special aw ards, all seniors were presented miniature footballs by the TD Club. Coach Charlie Bradshaw of the University of Kentucky was the featured speaker. He was intro duced by Coach Oliver Hunni cutt of LaGrange High. Among the special guests were Charlie Waller, an ex-Griffinite who is now backfield coach at Clemson University, and Tom Simonton, a Grifftnite who now coaches with Jim Cavan at R. E. Lee High in Thomaston. Dan Boyd was elected presi dent for 1966. He succeeds Gene Robbins. JACOBS GETS AWARD BALTIMORE (UPI) Jacobs, who has trained more than 3,500 winners since 1930, will receive a sterling silver stop watch in Louisville on May 4. He was named the recipient of the Outstanding Training Achievement Award for 1965 by the National Turf Association. Any boy or girl between 8 and 18 years old may join the league. Free instructions and bowling will be given the boys and girls as they are getting organized.
