Dear Patient,
On August 1, 1966, we embarked on an entirely new concept in the practice of
Pharmacy. This new concept is dedicated to providing my colleagues in the allied health
team, and you, the patient, with the finest in Pharmaceutical Services that has ever been
offered.
Many of you have recognized that our objectives are of a professional nature with
increasing emphasis on your health needs. We in Pharmacy have had a significant part to
play in the achievements which have given American citizens today scientific medical
care of a quality never before obtainable in history. Naturally, drugs have become
more complex, differing greatly in composition, action and use from the drugs of animal,
vegetable and mineral origin of days gone by. We have found it nearly impossible to
keep abreast of new drug developments while, at the same time, tending to the com
mercial aspects of present day drug stores.
In order to devote full time to the profession, we are eliminating most of the usual
commercial activities of the pharmacy; tobacco, cosmetics, jewelry, toys, candy, and
all gift items. We want to emphasize that we shall continue with sick room supplies,
braces and orthopetic supports, medical needs, dentifrices, and other health-reated items.
Our staff will gladly assist you in any way possible.
We have personally informed most of you of the individual or family record system
maintained on each patient. Please remember that you may come in at anytime and copy
your prescription record for income tax or insurance purposes. Our daliy hours shall be
9:00 A. M. to 7:00 P. M. Monday through Saturday. For emergency Pharmaceutical ser
vices after pharmacy hours and holidays, a pharmacist is on call at his home.
We have a health information rack in our pharmacy, which contains phamphlets on a
wide variety of health problems. All this information will be at your disposal free of
charge.
Our remodeled pharmacy is the consumation of years of planning. Our goal is to
give Griffin and Spalding County one of the most modem, professional pharmacies in
the United States. We sincerely hope you will take pride in the establishment of this
type of dedicated Pharmacy practice — a pacesetter for our profession.
With Kind Regards,
