i "Will Jackie Re-Marry?"
a;- Newspaper By RUTH Enterprise MILLETT Assn.
You can get an interesting
and lively discussion started
in almost any group these
days just by asking the ques
tion: ‘‘Do you think Mrs. K en
nedy will marry again within
the next few years?”
If the group is composed . of ,
both men and women you are
almost sure to men’s get a split de
cision. The reaction
will again,'? be “Of course, she’ll mar
ry beautiful woman
like that.” (Men apparently for
assume the only remarrying reason is a
widow’s not
not having any chances.)
But most of the women will
say emphatically, ‘‘Of oourse,
she won’t remarry any time
Why should . she? , What .
soon.
has she got to gain? As Mrs.
Kennedy, widow, she is one
of the first ladies of the world,
How long would that last if
she were suddenly Mrs. Some
body Else?”
All of which goes to prove
once again that men are the
real romantics and women
are the Practical-minded ones,
Don’t be surprised if the
discussion grows a little heat
ed because chances are no
one will say or even stop to
c, “I don’t know Mrs.

Miss Johnson will graduate in
May from Asbury College in
Wilmore, Kentucky with an A.B.
degree in art education.
Mr. Smith is a junior at As

student.
The wedding is planned for
June 11 at the First Nazarene
Church in Warner Robins, Ga.
Kennedy so how could I pos
sibly guess whether or not
she will ever marry again?”
All Americans who read and
watch television know Mrs
Kennedy in a way that seems
personal enough to permit
their saying fl atly> “ 0 f course,
she wiU marry again >- or . l0f
CO urse, she won’t.”
The reason is that no other
American woman has had her
life, its triumphs and its sor
rows, shared that vicariously by so
many. And is why spec
ulation about her personal fu
ture is such an interesting
topic,
Whenever a young and at
tractive widow, after a period
0 f mourning, resumes her
social life, friends and ac
quaintances start speculating
on whether or not she has
matrimony on her mind,
With Mrs. Kennedy every
one feels like an acquaintance

FASHION FADS
That African Look
The African feeling has
new-found place in fashion
Primitive wooden-type jewel
ry, buttons and even sunglass
frames are evident in shops.
Tiny shells are seen decorat
ing the fashions. Earthy
browns are being used to ex
press a whole new mood in
fashion accessories, ready to
take on the strong blaze of
color in the African prints.
