One of America’s favorite in

periodically comes in for a few
licks from the medical fraternity.
In fact, at the AMA’S 110th an

claimed that too frequent cof

on the road to a peptic ulcer. It
was claimed that consuming 10
to 15 cups of coffee daily will
contribute to, though not neces

“HOME OF INSTANT SERVICE”

Monday, April 24, 1967
by one of the owners, 68-year
old H. F. (Brassie) Braselton,
who showed up to turn off the
lights Sunday morning.
Braselton said they forced him
to put his plastic raincoat over
his head and tied his hands and
feet while ‘‘they dragged stuff
from the bank.” He finally freed
himself and called police.
Braselton said there were
three men in the building and
added he believed a fourth man
was outside as a lookout. He
said the intruders were
equipped with two-way radios.
One of the burglars insisted
Braselton should be killed, he
said, but another talked him out
of it.
He said the burglars demand
ed to know the combination of
the main store safe but he re
fused to give it.
A cousin, John Braselton, who
serves as bank cashier, was at
work late Sunday estimating the
loss. He said, however, most of
the money was in the main
safe, which they did not crack.
FBI agents described the bur
glars as “professionals.”
Braselton is 12 miles west of
Jefferson in northeast Georgia.
The family enterprises are
operated by brothers and three
cousins.

American Planes
Hit Bed Air Bases
By EUGENfi V. RISHER
United Press International
SAIGON (UPI> —American
planes today bombed Commu
nist MIG interceptor bases in
North Vietnam for the first
time, U.S. spokesmen said. U.S.
Air Force jets hit the bases
near Hanoi.
American spokesmen said
pilots hit two bases and
“reported both missions suc
cessful.” They said pilots in the
daring daylight raids used
fragmentation bombs which
erupt into thousands of chunks
of steel. The U.S. jets
hit Hoa Lac field 19 miles west
of Hanoi and Kep field 37 miles
northeast of the North Vietna
mese capital, spokesmen said.
These are two of the five
main reported MIG bases in the
Communist country.
The action came as U.S.
Marines stormed down South
Vietnam’s northern coast fol
lowing an air-sea landing
designed to rout Communists
threatening *he bastion cities of
Hue and Quang Tri.
U.S. spokesmen also reported

Hit Parked Aircraft
A communique from U.S.
military headquarters here said,
“Targets were limited to
aircraft* service facilities and
aircraft parked on the fields.”
There was no immediate
indication how many of the
Russian-designed MIGs were
caught in the raids. But U.S.
spokesmen said up to nine
MIGs including the supersonic
MIG2Is have been sighted at
Hoa Lac and up to 20 at Kep.
