olent thunderstorm collapsed a
downtown store roof.

Alton of about $22,000 Thursday
and on their way out of t'the
bank passed a woman bank
employe coming from the vault.
They ignored her.
Bank officials said the woman
was carrying $20,000 in S2O bills.

BERWYN, 111. (UPD—Nathan
Grossgold said he paid $650 for
the 33-by-141-foot piece of land
in 1956 and he wants to keep it.
Impossible, said Circuit Court
Judge Daniel J. McNamara,
w’ho ruled Berwyn had to pay
Grossgold the $650 to reclaim
the land—located In the middle
of a city street.

partment store but there was
no resulting fire.
Asst. Fire Chief Robert Her
ron said the lightning apparent
ly came in the chimney of the
brick building and knocked the
firewall from its base. The roof
section over the women’s
eady-to-wear department fell
in.
A hole 15 feet by 25 feet W'as
made In the roof. Damage was
estimated at $250,000.
