Service Manager, Byron Kennedy has recently returned from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he attend
ed Briggs & Stratton Service School and received his diploma.
Byron has had over 25 years experience as a mechanic, having gained early experience in World War
II as Flight Crew Chief serving in North Africa and Italy.
He was previously employed by Concrete & Building Supply Co. as foreman and mechanic.
He is married to Gladys Cobb Kennedy and has two sons, Randy and Terry, and one grandchild.

Air Force Base, Wyoming, was
solemnized November 11 at the
Holy Angels Church in Aurora,
Illinois. The Rev. Thomas J.
Till, S.J., cousin of the bride,
performed the ceremony at 11:30
a.m.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Biever of
Aurora, Illinois. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delton
A. Grey of Griffin.
Gold vases of mums in gold
and white were placed on the
altar.
Mr. John D. Grey of Griffin
served as his brother’s best man.

The bride, escorted to the al
tar by her father, wore a wed
ding gown of silk peau. The gown
was styled on empire lines and
featured a scoop neckline. The
winter short sleeves and the
chapel length detachable train
were trimmed with Peau d’ An
ge lace and beading. Her full
four tiered shoulder veil was at
tached to a headpiece of alencon
lace, pearls and crystals.
Following the wedding a re
ception was held at the Aurora
Country Club.

ember meeting of the Rehoboth
Baptist Church WMU. All mem
bers present took part in the
discussion.
The meeting was held in the
Fellowship Hall with the presi
dent, Mrs. Sara Beasley, pre
siding.
Mrs. Bertha Alexander, sec
retary, read the minutes of the
last meeting.
The members decided to take
a Thanksgiving offering to the
shut-ins.
The Rev. Cecil Dix closed the
meeting with prayer.
The circle met Monday after
noon at the home of Mrs. Alma
Harmon with 11 present. Mrs.
Willis Biles presented the pro
gram, “The Lord’s Supper As
Worship In Italian Churches”.

cover that smells of kerosene in
strong vinegar water. Hang out
doors to let the odors evaporate.
My husband cannot stand the
fish odor on his hands after he
goes fishing, so he always uses
vinegar, and I use vinegar in
the rinse water to get the fish
smell out of blue jeans. —MRS.

DEAR POLLY—Do tell Chris
tine to set a bowl filled with am
monia under her day bed that
smells of kerosene. Our dog ran
through some wet weeds and
came home with a skunk smell
in her long hair. She ran in and
jumped on the davenport. The
smell was horrible. I washed
the cushions as best I could and
placed ammonia underneath the
davenport, and it helped. Be
sure there are no children ar
ound to get into the ammonia.—

ting up some shelves and did not
have a level, so I filled a glass
measuring cup half-full of wa
ter. I set this on my shelf and
could level it perfectly.

old sister is a nuisance as she
talks very loud and acts silly ev
ery time someone comes around.
She makes my friends very un
comfortable. When I get on the
phone, she yells into the mouth
piece, cuts me off my party and
talk so loud I cannot hear my
self think. What can I do about
her? She is not ignorant as she
makes good grades at school but
something is wrong. How can I
