Rev. Ransom
Warns About
Fallen Kingdom
Members of Highland Metho
dist Church were told Sunday
that Christian citizenship is to
strive for one nation under God.
The Rev. Jim Ransom, pas
tor, preaching on the theme
“One Nation Under God” warn
ed that if Americans continue
to abandon God for human id
eals, that her destiny will be that
of history’s fallen kingdoms.
He blamed complacency for
permitting disunity and disloyal
ty to continue, and said televis
ion has done more than anything
else toward removing God from
the American scene by ignoring
His presence in the so-called
real life dramas.
The Highland pastor conclud
ed in his Sunday morning ser
mon that however it may now
appear, the idea of “One Nation
Under God” is not a question,
but is the answer that America
needs to know.
