Chadwick Signs With Tennessee

nessee coach Doug Dickey
signed up quarterback Dennis
Chadwick of Decatur High
School Monday night.
Chadwick, a 6-3, 190-pound
high school All-America, is a
brother of Tennessee tailback
Walter Chadwick who closed
out his career last season and
has signed with the Green Bay
Packers.
Chadwick picked up a total of
2,455 yards running and passing
last season after switching from
tailback after his junior year.
“We think Dennis is one of
‘he finest all-around athletes in

tsburgh Pirates at a pitcher
after accepting a dare from one
of his tavern customers, died
Monday at the age of 71.
Meine pitched for the Pirates
from 1929-34 and compiled a 66-
50 record, including a 9-13
mark in 1931 when he tied
Boston's Jim Elliott and Bill
Hallahan of Ut. Louis for the
National League high in victo
ries.

portunity to play Little League
ball.
To be eligible, a boy must at
tain the age of nine years be
fore Aug. 1 and not attain the
age of 13 before Aug. 1. Players
must be accompanied by one or
both parents and have a birth
certificate.
