TRULY GLAMOROUS WOMEN know that the most super
cosmetics look their best when covering a face that is
fresh as the morning dew and radiates good health.
Healthy skin is immaculately clean skin properly mois
turized. One facial treasure enriched with vitamins seals
in moisture as it lubricates and creates a softness on dry
•r parched looking skin.

A WHOLE NEW IDEA In
face-making are the water
color paint-ons. Actually,
they’re pastel pretty eye
make-up shades. Why not
a heart on your check or
flowers on your earlobes?
Your own paint box of
colors, plus a brush and
tiny well for water will do
the job.
Home Hints
Toys without sharp edges and
points, neither large and clum
sy nor so small as to be lost eas
ily, are best when taking a car
trip with children. Wrap surpris
es singly and open at various
times to help sustain children’s
interest on long trips and ease
the rough spots.
Cosmetic Cape
When a plastic raincoat be
comes too shabby for wear,
cut it to waist length, shorten
the sleeves and use it as a
cosmetic cape while you
shampoo your hair, apply
make-up or do any chore
which requires a bit of pro
tection. Then keep it clean by
wiping it with a sudsy sponge.

Help Keep Your Diet
If it’s lunch or dinner at a
restaurant and you’re dieting
safe choices for appetizers in
clude tomato, clam or sauer
kraut juice, fruit cup or one
half grapefruit or a shrimp
cocktail with lemon juice,
clear consomme or bouillon.
Main dishes might be any
roasted or broiled meat or
chicken, fish or main dish
salad. For dessert choose
fresh fruit, small serving of
ice cream or gelatin.
That School Lunch
If you’re on a diet and your
school cafeteria is geared for
the football team, take your
own lunch. Remember when
you count the calories to add
the value of mustard, butter,
relish and catsup. You can
buy whole milk in school, but
if you need nonfat milk bring
it in a thermos.
Banish Pump Bumps
Whenever your heels are
bared, on the beach or on the
terrace, unsightly pump
bumps will ruin the look. You
can improve them in mini
time and finally banish them
if you are faithful to this rou
tine: Lightly pumice the
bumps and follow with a baby
oil rub every night and morn
ing. The pumice gradually
removes the dead skin cells
and the baby oil softens the
skin and removes the discol
oration.
If You're in the Swim . . .
If you’re an avid swimmer,
now’s the time to take a short
cut a la Twiggy. Short hair
dries quickly, requires a
minimum of upkeep and
looks neat even at the beach.
For dress-up evenings, a fall
or a wig is an easy way to
achieve a glamorous look.
