GREER DIES
MARGATE, N.J. (UPI)—
Philadelphia 76er backcourt star
Hal Greer has signed a contract
which, reportedly, makes him
'the second highest paid playei

Green signed a three-ycar
contract for a reported $275,000,
placing him behind Wilt Cham
berlain, who was believed to
have earned that much a year

Why Was Hudson Road Paved?
Go South of Griffin, on the Macon road, beyond Hamilton Boulevard, to the first paved crossroad and
you will be at Hudson road. It runs from E. College St., across the Macon road all the way to a railroad
track, a distance of about I.J miles.
1 would like to make it quite clear, that 1 have not and will not criticize any of the property owners. Any
county road to be paved, must be approved by the County Commissioners, and all the property owners can
do is to request it. A portion ofthis road has curbs, and 1 was told by a spokesman, in the County Com
missioners Office, that the property owners are paying approximately 40c per foot for this curb.
. •
This road is not a heavily travelled or heavily populated road, or a connector between main roads, as one
end is virtually a dead end with a narrow, dirt road coming in to n.
We have roads that are in dire need of widening and repairing. We have children standing in the mud to
catch school buses to ride on roads that are unsafe and sometimes impassable. Thousands of our people,
outside the city, do not have garbage pick-up, yet Hudson road was paved this summer. Ride out and look
at it!
