Mr. Dover
Dies Today
Mr. Marvin Lamar Dover, 52,
of North Hill extension, died this
morning at his residence.
Mr. Dover was a member of
the Fellowship Baptist Church
and a veteran of World War
Two. He was employed by Gos
sett Oil Co.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Opal Bethune Dover a
daughter, Mrs. Faye Connally;
a granddaughter, Miss Tar a
Faye Connally, all of Griffin; a
sister, Mrs. Jean Willis of Ath
ens; two brothers, Roy Dover of
Rome and Lawrence Dover of
Ala., and several nieces and nep
hews.
Funeral services will be an
nounced by McDonald Chapel.

Mr. Hammond’s body will re
main at Haisten Funeral Home.
Texas wars on rats
AUSTIN, Tex. (UPI) - The
State Health Department is
sponsoring urban rat control
courses - half lecture and half
field work.
Officials said the six-day ses
sions across the state are an
' effort to combat an alarming
increase in rats and mice.
State workers estimate more
than 1,000 Texans, mainly in
fants and toddlers, are bitten
by rodents each year.

George W. Siefkin, 72, of SI
Petersburg, Fla., suffered
fractured skull, pelvis injuries
contusions and mutilple abras
ions. His condition was listed a
fair this morning.
Mrs. Naomi D. Siefkin, 70, als
of St. Petersburg, suffered frat
tured ribs, injuries to her hand
and right shoulder.
Mrs. Minnie Swansom Fors
berg, 72, of Pinella, Fla., sui
sered injuries to both legs, he
right arm and back. Both of th
women were listed in good cor
ditlon today.
Mrs. Forsberg was listed a
driver of the car. Damage wa
estimated at SI,OOO.
