Show Less Leg
The midi-length, in coats

the evening variety—are
working their way into the
holiday fashion scene. Less

DEAR POLLY—To cover those no-longer-suitable signa
tures on the Christmas cards Mrs. B. F. wants to use this
year. I suggest that she cut a border of gold or any color
from other greeting cards or buy figured, gummed, plastic
tape and paste over the name now on the cards. This could
be done in colors or so arranged that it seemed to be a part
of the card’s decoration—MYßTLE
DEAR POLLY—I want to pass on a Christmas idea that
worked so well for us. Save any-size old electric light bulbs
paint them red or green (I used house paint), hang in a

Wind-blown Look
On those cold, wintry
nights, before you sit down
to eggnog before the fire,
make sure your cheeks have
a rosy, shiny glow. For in
door gals, this isn’t always
easy to arrange. Eliminate
the problem by using a
golden bronze or rosy
gleamer on cheekbones, chin
and forehead. You’ll arrive
at any gala looking as if
you’ve just returned from St.
Moritz.
