BEYOND THE SUNSET
Since you’ve gone first and
we remain to walk the
road alone,
We live in memories garden,
dear, with happy days
we’ve known.
In spring we wait for roses
red when fades the lilac
blue,
In early fall when brown
leaves fall, we catch a
glimpse of you.
Since you’ve gone first and
we remain for battles to
be fought,
Each thing you’ve touched
along the way will be a
hallowed spot.
We hear your voice and we
see your smile, tho
blindly we may grope.
The memory of your helping
hand will 'oouy us on
with hope.
Since you've gone first and
we remain, one thing we
would have you do,
Walk slowly down that long,
long path, for soon we
will all follow you.
We want to know each step
you take so we may take
the same,
,For some day down that
lonely road you’ll hear
each one of us call your
name.
