Pinto 2-Door Sedan
ford
Maverick 2-Door Sedan
1919
Pinto 2 door
$66 less than VW 113
The little carefree car. Pinto is sized small, like the
economy import, but it’s bigger on value. And price is 1
only the beginning. Pinto calls for only half as many oil i
changes as VW. One-sixth the chassis lubes. So easy to |
service that you can do most routine maintenance your- i
self. And Pinto is bigger on performance. It has a 75-hp 1
engine that has averaged over 25 mpg in simulated city/ <
suburban driving. Sports-car type rack-and-pinion steer- !
ing. Wider stance and lower silhouette. ;
'Ford's suggested retail price for Pinto and Maverick. However, the models shown are equipped with
accent group (Pinto S6O; Maverick $52) and white sidewall tires ($29). Destination charges,
dealer preparation charges (if any), state and local taxes are extra.
*‘Comparison based on manufacturers’ suggested retail prices for closest comparable
body styles of lowest priced models, comparably equipped.

Maverick 2 door
$176 less than Nova 2 door
The Simple Machine. Maverick's price makes it simpler
to own than Nova. But that’s not the only reason we call
it the Simple Machine. Maverick's simple to drive and
park because of its shorter wheelbase and smaller turn
ing circle. Simple to service because it’s been designed
that way. Maverick offers a 4-door sedan for a low price
of $2235* (sl4s** less than Nova 4 door). Or choose the
sporty Grabber model. A choice of an economical V-8
and three thrifty Sixes.
Eleven injured
in weekend wrecks
Lewis Ray Henderson, 33, of
640 Jolinson street, was in fair
condition today at the Griffin-
Spalding Hospital with injuries
lie suffered when his car hit a
utility pole last night.
Police said Henderson lost
control of his car as he was
turning from East Solomon onto
Leo street and that the auto hit a
utility pole. He suffered head,
face and neck injuries.
Wendell Curtis Cobb, 28, of
1422 Jackson street, was ad
mitted to the hospital with
abrasions and bruises he suffer
ed in a wreck late Saturday
afternoon one-half mile north of
Griffin on the Kilgore road.
Patrolmen said Cobb fell out
of the car when it rounded a
curve and the door on the
driver’s side fell open. The auto
ran off the road, hit a tree and
then hit the home of Florence
Plumer .
The car was heavily damag
ed. There was about SIOO
damage to the house.
Three persons from Locust
Grove were injured Saturday
night in a one-car accident in
Locust Grove.
Betty Elizabeth Sims, 22, the
driver, was admitted to the
Griffin-Spalding Hospital with
head and back injuries. Shirley
Sims, 15, and John Sims, four,
were treated in the emergency
room.
Howard Cardell, 68, of Hooten
street, McDonough, was treated
at the local hospital for back in
juries. His car hit a guard rail
on 1-75.
Two teenagers were injured
and treated at the Griffin-
Spalding Hospital when the
driver, Jerry Wayne Mosteller,
18, of Route Four, Jackson, lost
control of the car on a curve.
The auto hit some large rocks
and overturned.
Mosteller suffered head injur
ies and cuts. A passenger in the
car, Milo Letson, 15, of Jenkins
burg, was treated for chest
injuries and cuts.
Eunice Ann Jones, 22, of the
Georgia Experiment Station,
and Letha Angie Bozeman, 35,
of 1542 West Poplar street, were
drivers of cars that collided on
Ga. 16 near the Carver road.
Both were injured and treated
at the hospital.
A five-car pile-up on 1-75,
south of McDonough, sent a
Detroit, Mich, man to the
Griffin-Spalding Hospital and
resulted in some $5,600 damage
to the cars involved.
Patrolmen identified the in
jured as Amader Lopez, 23.
They said two cars had stopped
in the traffic lane where a
Henry County police car was
parked at another accident.
Two other autos hit the parked
cars, knocking one into the
police car.
