ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed proposals will be
received from General
Contractors by Hoyt E.
Robinson, Supervisor of
Purchases, State Purchasing
Department, in Room 142, State
Capitol, Atlanta, Georgia 30334
up to 3:00 P.M., E.D.S.T., June
25,1971, for the construction of a
Rest Station at High Falls State
Park, Monroe County, Georgia
for the Georgia Department of
State Parks, George T. Bagby,
Director. At the time and place
noted above, the proposals will
be publicly opened and read.
Bidding documents may be
obtained at the office of Barker
& Cunningham, Architects, 5531
Roswell Road, N.E., Atlanta,
Georgia 30342 on or about May
24,1971, in writing, for bidding
documents together with a
deposit of $25.00 per set shall be
filed with the Architects and
Engineers. The full amount of
deposit for one set of document
will be returned to each General
Contractor who submits a bona
fide bid upon the return of such
set in good condition within 10
days after date of opening of
bids. All other deposits will be
refunded with a deduction
approximating the cost of
reproduction of the documents
upon return of same in good
condition within 10 days after
date of opening of bids.
Contract, if awarded, will be
on a lump sum basis. No bid
may be withdrawn for a period
of 30 days after date of opening.
Bids must be accompanied by a
Bid Bond in an amount not less
than 5 percent of the Base Bid.
(No check of any nature will be
acceptable in lieu of the Bid
Bond). Bid bond shall be made
payable to the Owner. The
successful bidder will be
required to furnish a
Performance and Payment
Bond in an amount equal to 100
percent of the contract price
and executed by a Surety
Company licensed to do
business in Georgia.
Bidding documents will not be
issued later than twenty-four
(24) hours prior to the time for
receiving proposals.
No oral, telegraphic,
telephonic or written
modifications of the proposal
will be considered.
The Owner reserves the right
to accept or reject any or all
bids and waive technicalities
and informalities.
