ON April 6, 1970, C. H.
Hughley and Odessa Williams
executed a deed to secure debt
in favor of Arthur Forrer, as
Executor of the Estate of Atwell
Forrer, in the amount of
$8,900.00, as shown in Deed
Book 282, page 500, of the
Spalding Superior Court
records, which deed to secure
debt was transferred and
assigned to Commercial Bank &
Trust Company on March 16,
1971, as shown in Deed Bode 292,
page 529, of the Spalding
Superior Court records, and
which said deed was
transferred back to Arthur
Forrer, as Executor of the
Estate of Atwell Forrer on
September 28,1971, as shown in
Deed Book 298, page 477, of said
Spalding Superior Court
records, and which property is
more particularly described as
follows:
All that tract, lot or parcel of
land situate, lying and being in
the City of Griffin, Spalding
County, Georgia, and more
specifically described as being
Lot 2 in Block “B” of Griffin
Heights Subdivision, as shown
on plat of survey of said
subdivision made by W. M.
Holman, a copy of which said
plat wwas recorded in Deed
Book 17, pages 78 and 79 of the
records of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Spalding
County, Georgia, and which
said plat is hereby incorporated
herein and made a part of this
description.
The aforesaid Lot 2, Block “B”
of said Subdivision fronts 50 feet
on the North side of Alabama
Street and running back North
of even width a distance of 165
feet, and is bounded as follows:
North by Realty Street,
formerly Virginia Avenue; East
by Lot 3, said block and
subdivision, now or formerly
owned by C. E. Watson; South
by Alabama Street; and West
by Lot 1, said block and
subdivision, now or formerly
owned by J. N. Hutson.
Located on above described
property is one four-room
frame dwelling, known as 127
Alabama Street, according to
the present plan of numbering
in use in the City of Griffin.
The note executed at the time
of the deed to secure debt is now
in default, and Arthur Forrer,
as Executor of the Estate of
Atwell Forrer, elects that said
note, with principal and
interest, become due and
payable at once.
NOW , THEREFORE,
according to the original terms
of said deed to secure debt and
the laws in such cases made and
provided, the said Arthur
Forrer, as Executor of the
Estate of Atwell Forrer, will
expose for sale to the highest
bidder and best bidder for cash
the above described property,
after proper advertisement, on
the first Tuesday in November,
1971, between the legal hours of
sale before the courthouse door
in Griffin, Georgia. The
proceeds from said sale shall be
distributed as provided by law.
