Physician
posts bond
A 32-year-old Atlanta
physician was released from
the Spalding County jail
yesterday under $2,000 bond
after being charged with
stealing an aircraft com
munications instrument valued
at SBSO from the radio shop at
the Griffin airport.
Dr. Marvin L. Marchman of
5244 Fleur-de-lis Port, Atlanta,
was arrested on a warrant
taken by Bob Fink, operator of
the radio shop. Fink said Dr.
Marchman flew to Griffin the
day the instrument was taken
and that later he traded it in on
an aircraft radio at a shop in
Kennessaw.

Power to the people.
That’s the job of Georgia’s 41 consumer
owned electric utilities. Getting dependable
electric power to people who live in areas where
they couldn't get electricity otherwise. That can
mean running lines way out to the one house that s
twenty miles from nowhere. And it can also mean
bringing electricity—and new industry—into
bustling urban counties. We get around —over
80% of the area of the state, as a matter of fact.
Which means power to one-and-a-quarter million
people. So remember who we are.
