Two Year Post High School
The two year Machine Shop Program is a study and under
standing of Machine Shop techniques and machine tool
operation. The course is arranged to enable the student to
develop knowledge and skill in the operation of all basic
machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes,
shapers, milling machines and other specialized equipment
such as jig borers and electrical discharge machines. The
curriculum also includes mathematics, blueprint reading and
sketching ewential to the machine shop trade. Human re
lations is also included in the course to enable to student to
apply his knowledge and training for advancement in the
field.

Accounting
The Accounting major is a one-year program in the Busi
ness Education Department. It emphasizes planned learning
experiences which include a combination of courses and
practical experience concerned with business accounting
systems and operations. Graduates of this program will be
able to accept jobs in departments of credit and collection,
payroll, banking, insurance, tax, and many other fields.

Drafting
Drafting is a one-year program. The draftsman!prepares
clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail
drawing from rough or detailed sketches or notesi for en
gineering or manufacturing purposes according to specif led
dimensions. He makes final sketches of proposed drawings,
checking dimensions of parts, materials to be “ed, « nd
relationof various parts to the whole structure. He will make
any necessary adjustment or changes.
The draftsman must exercise manual skill with toe aid
conventional drafting, drafting machines, and parallel
straight edges. He must be able to use handbooks other re
ferences, and technical data in solving problems. The drafts
man utilizes knowledge of various, «£*«*»«
mathematics, building materials, and other physical
sciences to complete drawings.
