The Rev. and Mrs. Curran L. Spottswood, United Methodist
missionaries to the Philippines since 1946 will be at the First
United Methodist Church Wednesday at 7 p.m. A covered
dish supper will be served at the church beginning at 6:30 in
the fellowship hall. The Spottswoods are attending the
General Methodist Conference in Atlanta this week.
Footlighters
plan ‘Harvey’
The Griffin Footlight players
will present “Harvey” May 19
and 20. Tentative plans call for
it to be at the Griffin High
auditorium.
One of the first productions of
the Footlighters, the group will
have the original cost of the
show here with two exceptions.
Carole Anne Marshall and
Barbara Jo Cook who have
appeared in Footlight plays
before will replace two mem
bers of the original cast.
Dr. O. R. Butler will appear
again as Elwood P. Dowd. Mary
Fitzhugh, Howard Wallace, Bill
McDaniel, Sammy Murray,
Grace Young, Bob Forio and
Jack Robbins will be in the
same roles they played before.
