North Vietnamese peace ne
gotiator Xuan Thuy told a news
conference the “special advi
ser” to the peace team, Le Due
Tho, who has conducted 13 past
private talks with presidential
adviser Henry A. Kissinger,
will fly to Paris the moment
the two conditions are met.
Thuy also warned that the
North Vietnamese were ready
to meet any air, naval and
ground invasion of their territo
ry in retaliation for the
Communist offensive in South
Vietnam.
Le Due Tho, ranked No. 7 in
the Hanoi political bureau, was
instrumental in discussing
peace conditions in 13 meetings
with Kissinger last summer
which, however, produced no
results.
Kissinger refused to continue
the private meetings in the
Paris region with Thuy after
Tho’s return to Hanoi. But U.S.

By JACK WILKINSON
ATLANTA (UPI)-Bishop F.
Gerald Ensley of Columbus,
Ohio, delivers the Episcopal ad
dress, on “state of the church”
message today in the first busi
ness session of the two- week
general conference of the Unit
ed Methodist Church.
While Ensley will deliver the
address, it will bear the signa
tures and support of nearly 10
active and retired United Meth
odist Bishops from throughout
the world.
Like many other religious de
nominations faced with a chang
ing society, the conference is
expected to deal with its great
est reorganization effort in a
quarter of a century.
Approval will be asked of the
1,000 delegates to the 86-nation
meeting of a thorough revision
of the church’s social creed,
attempting to cope with such is
sues as sex, death, abortion,
pacifism, drinking and drugs.
meetings again any time.
“Le Due Tho is now in
Hanoi,” Thuy said in answer to
questions.
“He will be in Paris when the
Paris conference on Vietnam
resumes its work. If the
conference does not resume its
work and if the United States
doesn’t stop its escalation of
the war against the Democratic
Republic of Vietnam, then there
can be no basis for private
meetings,” Thuy said.
A statement on moral princi
ples, running 4,000 words and
proposing some major depar
tures from tradition, will be
offered the delegates.
In a statement issued on the
eve of the meeting Sunday, the
Council of Bishops charged the
Vietnam war was “immoral”
and was being escalated by re
newed American bombing.
“In spite of claims that the
war is winding down, It is not,"
the bishops said. “Once again,
villages on both sides are being
leveled, civilians are being
slaughtered and the war is be
ing escalated.”
The statement criticized the
"unprecedented fury” of the
American bombing attacks.
Plans for reorganization of
the church structure will also
include major changes in
church boards and agencies and
provide bigger roles for laymen.
Church acceptance of homo
sexuals is one resolution almost
certain to trigger debate.
Another resolution which may
create controversy calls for a
“determined effort to under
stand human sexuality more
completely.”
“The right of a person to die
dignity... without efforts to pro
long terminal illnesses merely
because the technology is avail
able to do so” is still another
proposal seeking church sup
port.
Other potential explosive reso
lutions include support for abor
tion upon request, amnesty for
war defectors, an immediate
ceasefire in Southeast Asia and
softer penalties for possession
of marijuana.

To Stop Hair Loss,
Grow More Hair
HOUSTON, Texas —ls
you don’t suffer from male
pattern baldness, you can
now stop your hair loss . . .
and grow more hair.
For years “they said it couldn’t
be done". But now a firm of lab
oratory consultants has developed
a treatment for both men and
women, that is not only stopping
hair loss . . . but is really grow
ing hair!
They don’t even ask you to
take their word for it. They
invite you to try the treatment
for 32 days, at their risk, and
see for yourself!
Naturally, they would not offer
this opportunity unless the treat
ment worked. However, it is im
possible to help everyone.
The great majority of cases
of excessive hair fall and
baldness are the beginning
and more fully developed
stages of male pattern bald
ness and cannot be helped.

But, if you are not already
slick bald, how can you be sure
what is actually causing your
hair loss? Even if baldness may
seem to “run in your family,”
this is certainly no proof of the
cause of YOUR hair loss.
Hair loss caused by sebum can
also run in your family, and
' many other conditions can cause
hair loss. No matter which one
is causing your hair loss, if you
wait until you are slick bald and
, your hair roots are dead, you
are beyond help. So, if you still
have any hair on top of your

your hair loss and grow more
hair . . . now is the time to do
something about it before it’s
too late.
