convention
Mrs. Abner H. Caldwell,
president of the Camellia
Garden Club of the Redbud
District, attended the 44th
annual convention of the
Garden Chib of Georgia, Inc.
April 18-20 at the Macon Hilton
Hotel.
Mrs. Caldwell was a voting
delegate to the convention.
The Camellia District was
hostess to the convention. The
Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. is
a member of the National
Council of State Garden Gubs,
Inc.
The convention theme was
“The World Is Your Garden”.
Business sessions and
workshops were held in the
historic Mulberry Street Metho
dist Church.

Mrs. Tatum speaks to Pulaski Chapter
Mrs. Doyle Tatum was the
speaker at the April meeting of
Pulaski Chapter, Daughters of
the American Revolution. Her
subject was ‘‘What the
Daughters Do."
The meeting was opened with
the DAR ritual, led by the
chaplain, Mrs. Steve Wallace,
followed by the pledge to the
flag and the American’s Creed.
Mrs. J. B. Manley, first vice
regent, presided and welcomed
a new member, Mrs. Ruth
Austin Denny.
