TO THE PEOPLE OF PIKE COUNTY
The strength of America lies in public education. The
prosperity of Pike County is directly related to the quality
of our educational system, and the future of Pike County is
sitting in our classrooms today. I believe Pike County
stands on the tremendous growth and improvements in
education.
In order to be directly involved in this movement, I offer
myself for re-election to the Pike County Board of
Education. My reasons are realistic and simple. I am a
Pike County tax payer with three children in the public
schools. I believe in public education and realize that
responsible leadership will result in quality education for
our boys and girls. Richard q (Dick) Ward

Straps to Clutches
Shoulder strap bags are
still the most popular style
handbag. This season they’re
softer leather and more un
structured in shape. But
with longer dresses in the
evening, there’s a total
switch to the clutch or hand
strap bags.
Sweater Sets.
Twin sweater sets will
create lots of excitement for
the cool of evening. It’s a
coordinated look with sweat
er over sweater. Short
sleeved over long sleeves or
vice versa. And more in
terest comes with mixing
and matching patterns with
solid colors.
Wardrobe Care
Keep up on the repairs for
your wardrobe and you won’t
go through those dreadful
mornings of switching out
fits so many times. Don’t
put back clothing that’s torn
or missing buttons until
you’ve taken care of them.
Weed out things that no long
