Linda Susan Harden,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
I. Harden of 816 Sunnybrook
drive, Griffin, has been named
to the honors list for academic
achievement during the sum
mer quarter at North Georgia
College.
WENDELL MCMILLAN
Wendell McMillan graduated
from Georgia State University
in Atlanta with a BS degree in
urban life. He is married to the
former Donna Park and the
couple make their home in
Griffin. McMillan was named to
the dean’s list again during the
final summer quarter.
DOROTHY M. GILES
Dorothy Mae Giles of Griffin
was one of more than 200
students at West Georgia
College to be awarded a
graduate degree during the
institution’s annual commence
ment exercises. She received
her M. Ed degree in elementary
education.
MIMI T. JONES
Mimi Tarplee Jones, wife of
Alyn R. Jones, Jr., of Zebulon,
completed the requirements for
the B.S. degree in elementary
education at Tift College. She
will receive her diploma at the
next formal graduation. Mrs.
Jones minored in social studies.
JANE C. LLOYD
Jane Caldwell Lloyd will be
.awarded her B.S. degree at.,
summer commencement
exercises at Auburn University

Harvey Franklin Oglesby of

College to be awarded a
graduate degree during the
institution’s annual summer
commencement exercises. He
received a M. Ed degree in
elementary education.
POLLY D. CLOUD
Polly Dempsey Cloud,
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. H.
Dempsey of Griffin, received
her bachelor of science degree
in education from the
University of Georgia. She was
named to the dean’s list with a
4.0 average for the summer
quarter. Mrs. Cloud has accept
ed a teaching position with Eto
wah County School System in
Gadsden, Ala., beginning in
Sept.
PATRICIA A. PITTS
Patricia Ann Pitts of Griffin
was one of 255 students at West
Georgia College to be awarded
an undergraduate degree
during the institution’s annual
summer commencement
exercises. She received a BS
ED degree in early childhood
education.
JULIAN A. BROWN, JR.
Julian A. Brown, Jr., of
Griffin received the B.S. degree
in business administration at
Georgia Southwestern College,
Americus. He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Julian Brown, Sr., a
1967 graduate of Griffin High
and a member of the Union
Baptist Church.
JAMES H. WALLACE
James Henry Wallace of
Griffin was among the 113
graduates who were awarded
degrees by Georgia South
western College. He received
the bachelor of science in
history. He is the son of Mrs.
Mildred Wallace of Griffin and
the late James Wallace, a
member of the Jackson
Presbyterian Church and a 1966
graduate of Griffin High. At
Southwestern he played in
tramural football and basket
ball and was a dean’s list
student.

charging, full of righteous indignation, to rescue some
body from a bad guy of one kind or another, dressed
up in a bunny costume? Yes, it can be, which ought to
prove wrong’ all those people who say Duke lacks a
sense of humor. Wayne, though did not appear over
joyed at the prospect, agreed to play the Easter Bunny
