activities are as follows:
Day Camp will begin at the
Fairmont Community Center in
two sessions, the first beginning
June 18 and 25th from 9 a.m.
until 12 noon, and the second
session, July 9th and 16th. At the
City Park Community Center,
Day Camp sessions will be held
at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., with the
first beginning June 11th,
running six weeks, with a week
off during July 4th.
Baton class sessions will
begin June 12 and continue eight
weeks every Tuesday at 4:30
p.m.
Swimming lessons will be
held beginning June 11 in two
,week sessions from 9 a.m. until
10 a.m.; 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.,
held through the* Summer.
Registration will be on a first
come first serve basis. The
municipal pool is now open from
2 p.m. through 8 p.m. Monday
through Saturday and on
Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Ceramics and arts and crafts.
The young peoples crafts class
will meet on Monday and
Wednesday mornings at 10 to 11
a.m. for youngsters six years
and up. Classes begin June 11
and run through July 25.
Ceramics for young people 10
years and up will be June 12 on
Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. until 1:30
p.m., running through Aug. 14.
Young people under 10 years of
age must be accompanied by an
adult for registration.
Patrick Park on High Falls
road, sponsored by the ABC
Club of Griffin, will offer
playground facilities under the
direction of the Griffin
Recreation Department. Ball
fields and a picnic pavilion are
available to all citizens in
Griffin and Spalding County.
Edwards attends
School of Banking
BATON ROUGE, La.-J.
William Edwards, chairman,
Bank of Zebulon, Zebulon, and
president of the Crawford
County Bank, Roberta, is one of
365 bankers graduating from
the School of Banking of the
South at Louisiana State
University. Classes started May
21 and continued through June
2, covering advanced study in
all phases of banking,
economics and finance.

Griffin Moose Lodge 1503 when
he became the first member to
sign up more than 250 members.
Gibson was honored by the
supreme body of the Moose for
his achievement. He has been a
member of Griffin Lodge 18
