by pitching back-to-back no
hitters.
Foster’s lastest no-hitter
came yesterday and gave
WHIE a 7-0 victory over the
Eagles.

An air show will be held
Saturday and Sunday at Bear
Creek Airport at Hampton near
the Atlanta International
Speedway.
Competition begins Saturday
at 9 a.m. Air show time for
Sunday is 2 p.m.
Advance tickets are $1 for
Saturday and $2 for the Sunday
air show.
Tickets at the gate will be $1
for Saturday and $2.50 on Sun
day. (Children under 12 will be
admitted free when ac
companied by an adult.)
The show is being sponsored
by the International Aerobactic
Club of Atlanta and Morrow

Budd Thalman, sports informa
tion director at the U.S. Naval
Academy at Annapolis, Md.,
since 1962, Tuesday was named
to succeed the late Jack
Horrigan as vice president in
charge of public relations for
the Buffalo Bills of the National
Football League.
Horrigan was with the Bills
from 1966 until his death earlier
this month. Thalman, 38, has
been with the Naval Academy
since 1962.
Palmer signed
CHICAGO (UPI) - Bob
Palmer, a 17-year-old catcher
from Corona Del Mar (Calif.)
High School, Tuesday signed
with the Chicago White Sox,
who selected him in the third
round of the recent major
league player draft.
Palmer, who batted .366 in
three high school seasons and
also hit .500 in American
Legion play, was assigned to
the Appleton (Wis.) Foxes in
the Midwest League.
