Motorcycle
mishap hurts
its rider
Gene Sheffield, 23, of 325
Dobbins Mill road, was carried
to the Griffin-Spalding
emergency room late yesterday
afternoon with injuries he
received when he fell from a
motorcycle.
He suffered multiple bruises
and abrasions over the body.

Kathy Esary, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Esary, attended a
piano workshop with Lynn
Freeman Olson, American
composer.
She was required to compose
and write a piano piece each
day and then perform it before a
large number of teachers.
Miss Esary enjoyed the study
$ as well as the fellowship with
her former teacher, Mrs.
Alberta Degarimore, who is
w now living in Huntsville, Ala.
Woman beaten;
man arrested
Mrs. Gertrude Stewart, 44, of
912 Lyndon avenue, suffered
severe face and head injuries
yesterday in a beating. She was

Hospital emergency room, then

Man wounded
in accident
Police said Homer Corbin, 214
Lexington avenue, was shot
accidently in the left hip yester
day. He was treated at the
Griffin-Spalding Hospital and
was not thought to be injured
seriously.
Officers said Mary Moore of
Cascade avenue was handling
the .22 caliber pistol. They
termed the shooting accidental
and said no charges would be
placed against her.
