He cares
LONDON (UPI) - What kind
of a noise does a snail make
when it eats something?
Probably few people care.
But George Riley, a 32-year-old
market worker from Sidcup,
has made it his business to find
out.
As a hobby, he tramps
around the countryside near
where he lives lugging a
parabolic microphone dish and
collecting the sounds.
In many cases, he said, he is
able to tell the type of snail by
the sound it makes while
chomping away.
“They all have different
eating habits,” he said.
