The First Baptist Church has
received gifts and pledges
amounting to $301,498 to finance
it’s 1974 budget. The goal for the
coming year’s operations was
$268,412.

chosen on Wednesday night at
the Imperial Theater.

Christmas piano recital
December 9 at the Brooks
Christian Church. All 10 of her
students played. They are Terri
Clark, Connie Clark, Lynne

Cochran. Achievement awards
were given to each student. The
group sang “Away in a
Manger”, “Silent Night” and

BARNESVILLE - At the recent meeting of CACOG
(Central Area Council of Government), Griffin’s City
Manager, Roy Inman spoke on “Sharing Planning
Services” to 60 area government officials. The first
CACOG meeting, held at Gordon Junior College, was an
attempt to discuss common problems in local
government. The forum was co-sponsored by Mclntosh
Trail Area Planning and Development Commission and
the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
Also attending from Griffin were Bob Simmons, Michael
Best, Barry Greenhouse, Jim Bailey, Jimmy R. Johnson,
Jack Smith, Jerry Walker and Harry Simmons.
