Babe Ruth League
selects players
The Griffin Babe Ruth
League held its player draft for
14 and 15-year-olds yesterday.
The league will draft 13-year
olds tonight.
Managers and coaches of the
eight teams are:
Dundee — Charles Dunn,
Larry Cook and Billy Crane.
Eagles — Ken Buckles,
Frankie Goldstein and Thomas
Thurston.
Elks — Charles Goosman and
John Sikes.
Fuller wins
wrestling
crown
Robert Fuller became the
new Griffin heavyweight
wrestling champion Saturday
night when he defeated Bobby
Duncum at the Sports Palace.
In other matches:
Dryl Cochran beat Ron
Michaels; Art Nelson and Jerry
Oates wrestled to a draw; Bob
Armstrong defeated the
Masked Marvel and in a match
between Jerry Briscoe and Mr.
Wrestling Two the referee gave
the win to Mr. Wrestling Two
when Art Nelson interfered in
the bout. Fuller was in Mr.
Wrestling’s comer.
