| Nixon back from Paris
S CAMP DAVID, Md. — President Nixon, back from a :j:
g busy weekend in Paris and a Sunday night rest at his
Camp David mountain retreat, was expected to return to
Washington today to cope with tornado damage problems
and another Watergate decision. :j:
g Trouble with dogs
WASHINGTON —Like some chief executives before g
i? him, President Nixon is experiencing some controversy g
:$ over his dogs. The Internal Revenue Service and Sen. g
S Russell B. Long, want to know how often King g
Timahoe the setter, Vicki the poodle and Pasha the terrier g
have flown gratis aboard Air Force One, with the purpose g
g of possibly making the President pay their fares. g
| Filibuster threatens
WASHINGTON —A lengthy filibuster in the Senate g
against campaign finance reform legislation faces g
g Congress in its push toward Easter recess beginning g
Thursday. The bill for public financing of federal election
campaigns, designed to end undue participation by g
special interest groups in national campaigns, is up for a g
second cloture vote Tuesday. g
| Man heard kill order
g MEDIA, Pa. —The prosecution’s case against former
g United Mine Workers union president W. A. “Tony” Boyle g
g may hinge this week on the testimony of a man who says g
he heard Boyle order the assassination of Joseph Yablon
ski six months before it occurred. The trial entered its g
g third week today. The expected witness was William J. g
g Turnblazer, once one of Boyle’s closest comrades and g
president of UMW District 19. g
g He’ll greet President
SAGINAW, Mich. —Gov. William G. Milliken will
g interrupt a busy schedule Wednesday to greet President g
g Nixon at a welcoming rally that will kick off a campaign g
swing by Nixon through Michigan’s Bth Congressional g
g District. But the governor, a Republican up for re- g
g election, will not accompany the President on a g
g motorcade through 11 rural towns in his first campaigning g
since the 1972 election, a spokesman for Milliken said g
g Sunday. Milliken stumped the district Saturday. g
g Snow cancels game
g Television viewers who like to watch the Chicago White g
Sox play on one of the city’s channels are accustomed to a g
g little “snow” on their screens. Sunday it was ridiculous, g
There was so much visible the umpires finally called the g
g game because of snow flurries and near freezing g
g: temperatures. It’s that kind of a spring. Joplin, Mo., got g
g bombed with hail an inch thick. Buffalo, N.Y., counted two g
inches of new snow. Stockmen in western Kansas were g:
g warned of cold rains and snow. >•:
g Brother outraged
g NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.-President Nixon’s brother g
g Donald says he barely knows C.G. “Bebe" Rebozo and is g
g outraged by accusations that Rebozo gave him part of the g
g SIOO,OOO Howard Hughes cash.
| Israeli war plane downed
g: An Israeli war plane went down in flames over the Golan
g Heights today in the first Israeli air loss since the October g
g war. Israel announced it has captured its first Syrian :g
:g prisoner in the daily tank yand artillery battles with the g
g Syrians on the Heights. :g

R*A*F ENERGY DIET
WITH VITAMIN
COMBO. SUPPLEMENT
LOS ANGELES (Special) I
The R«A»F diet has been
found to give excellent results
in weight loss when followed
according to its simple instruc
tions, and reportedly is gaining
great popularity across the
country with reports of weight j
loss while still eating most of
the foods you are used to.
Those who follow the simple
diet report a loss of weight
without exercise or starvation.
Best of all you can still eat
regular foods such as steak, i
chicken, chops, fish, sauces,
gravies, bacon and eggs and
still lose unw anted weight. The
Vitamin “E” & “C” Tabs used
with the diet plan supply you
with the M.D.R. which other
wise may be lost when follow
ing the R»A»F Diet Plan.
The use of the new Vitamin
"E" & “C” Tabs and foods
prescribed in the plan will
through natural action, act to
help your body keep fit and not
suffer from hunger pangs. This
is a solid, common sense diet
plan — 100% safe — no un
pleasant side effects.
A study of 900 obese persons
confirms the value of the low
carbohydrate diet and frequent
small meals. Despite organized
medicines insistence that cal
ories alone are the key to los
ing weight, the research clear
1s shows that the source of the
calories is equally important.
Carbohydrate, says the medi
cal researcher, is the "crucial
determinant” regulating the
degree of obesity. Supplement
ing the low carbohydrate diet
with polyunsaturated fat (veg
etable oil) increases the oxida
tion of stored fat (palmitate)
by 20 to 25% — and that, says
the paper, is the way to dimin
ish excess weight.’
