John Flynt in No vember, compared current na tional leaders in both parties to “the crew of the Titanic argu ing over the dinner menu while the iceberg looms ahead.” He blasted Flynt for refusing to appear at a series of town hall meetings in every county in the district to discuss the is sues. “We cannot accept this type of arrogance from our elected officials,” said Gingrich, a pro fessor on leave from West Geor gia College making his first bid for political office.
