Delta pilot pay hikes
called inflationary
ATLANTA (UPI)—A move by
Delta Air Lines to raise the sal

over the next two years has
been criticized by some airline
officials as inflationary.
Delta, one of the most profit
able airlines in the country, re

with the Air Line Pilots Associ

pay for all Delta pilots and co
pilots to $42,000 now and $48,000
before the contract expires.
A top Delta pilot flying the

that Delta has done it, every
body is going to have to do it.
It will start a whole cycle
where the rich get richer or at

Dr. Scales will use this model of the solar system in his astronomy course to show students
why the earth has seasons and various phases of the moon. The model is designed so that
earth rotates about its axis, the moon rotates about the earth, and the planet Venus rotates
about the sun. Here the sun is illuminating Venus, the moon, and earth.
